Can Fun be Found in a Bail Bonds Agent Class?

February 2nd, 2012

Usually when you have to give up a weekend for something pertaining to work you’re a little bothered. Especially if it’s for educational purposes. Work-related classes are usually boring and unnecssary so our expecations are that we won’t enjoy the class or get anything out of it. But when I recently went to my class to get my bail bonds agent license (which I still need to test for), I thought it was fun and very interesting.

Of course the instructors magic tricks and jokes helped, but the actual info was useful as well. Although with every class there was a few odd balls, most of the attendees were serious regarding the information and really seemed to look forward to becoming a bail bonds agent. The class was such a mixture of people, just from different walks of life. Some already work in the bail bond industry.  Others were just looking for something new. I think a few people were there with the intention of becoming the next “Dog the Bounty Hunter” but who am I to crush their dreams?

The instructor was very interesting to listen to; he has an extensive background in law enforcement, bail bonds, as well as fugitive recovery. After hearing some of his stories and how long he’s been in the business I’m really looking forward to becoming a bail bond agent. I’m very confident that after taking his class and recieving all the needed information I’m sure to pass the test.

I’m looking forward to being able to further help our customers bail out their family and friends.  Return here soon to see how I do on my test!

Austism Speaks

December 13th, 2011

November 12, 2011 was a great day for Autism Speaks, a foundation dedicated to helping families effected by Autism with financial and emotional support as well as raising funds for research on autism. This was such a fun and educational experience andI was so glad to be part of it. Myself and friends, including one of our Victorville bail agents, Missy, met at Angel Stadium in Santa Ana, CA, to be part of Walk Now, a walk to raise funds for Autism Speaks.
Arriving early on the cold, rainy morning, we had a chance to speak with some of the sponsors as well listen to some of the facts regarding Autism. Additionally some of the kids that performed different dances and songs. It was astonishing to see so many people and corporations taking part in this charitable event.

The walk itself consisted of a couple times around the field, where they had the dugouts open for pictures as well as the jumbo-tron working to see yourself on the big screen. The majority of walking teams got creative and made up special t-shirts for their team members. It was fun to see the variety of ideas.

Definitely looking forward to participating next year and raising a lot more money! For more information about Autism Speaks, go to: http://www.autismspeaks.org/

Marketing and Promo Items

October 21st, 2011

Getting your name out there is not the only part of marketing; it’s how you get your name out there as well. Marketing is always a big part of all businesses. Of course the best marketing is word of mouth; most people ask friends and family for recommendations. With that said it’s obvious that the way you conduct business is a very important part of marketing, since, word of mouth is based on the experience that person had individually when working with you. Of course sometimes word of mouth can back fire and you end up with negative marketing. Good thing that’s not the only way to market your company. Promo is a big deal when it comes to being known. For instance, bail bonds companies usually have shirts with their company logo on the front and back made, and use them as give a ways. Absolute Bail Bonds does this; it’s a great way to get our name out there. We also sponsor different car or bike clubs and have shirts made specifically for them. We also participate in local events; set up a booth with promo items to hand out and explain the bail industry. At these events we set up a give a way wheel that people spin to “win” different promo items. Of course some feel that they have won and don’t realize that the real winner is us; not only did we make a good impression on a potential client but we got our name out there with an item they can keep. One thing the promo items have done to help Absolute Bail Bonds is made us know for having a specific key chain. When we’ve set up booths at local events we are always asked if we have any of them. Now after having our name tied to those key chains we have brought potential clients to us rather than us going to them.

Kern County Senior Games

October 17th, 2011

Rosewood Senior Living Community in Bakersfield, California held its annual Senior Games on October 6, 2011. This is sort of a Senior Olympics among different senior communities. We, Absolute Bail Bonds, were able to sponsor and help out at the event. We helped setup as well as helped with the lunch. These senior games are a way for Rosewood to raise money for Alzheimer’s. It also gets the residents to participate in some outdoor activities. The community really does take pride in the event, as several schools were there to volunteer and participate in the event. Schools bands, color guard and flag teams performed during the events opening parade, the cheerleaders also helped push some of the residents along in the games. The games consist of volleyball, golf, horseshoe toss, bowling and several others. Winners were announced at the end of the event, along with a raffle. While helping several people noticed the “Bounty Hunter” shirt I was wearing and asked how Absolute Bail Bonds was related to the event? This was a great opportunity to explain that we are part of the community and although our business doesn’t have any relation to the senior games we still wanted to participate, we are not only there when our services are needed but we do like to help sponsor different events as well as volunteer as needed. I explained to some, how the bail industry works. Overall the event was a great success, not to mention a fun event to participate in. Please check out my facebook page for pictures at the event. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100003020145683

October 10th, 2011

We’ve taken to the social network! Of course we’ve been a part of the social network for quiet sometime but Absolute Bail Bonds wants to show our clients that our services are not limited to the Antelope Valley. Deputy Don Self Integrity Club Golf Tournament- Twelve years and going

October 7th, 2011

Who knew that twelve years after Deputy Don Self put the Integrity Club in effect, that it’d still be going? The Golf Tournament held annually is to raise funds for scholarships for students of the Antelope Valley High Schools. Deputy Self said “If we can teach the true meaning of Integrity, Dignity and Credibility, it could well be the most important lesson they will ever learn.” The scholarship funds are raised for those students that have shown the importance of Integrity, Dignity and Credibility in their daily lives. This really is a fun fund raiser; it includes prizes for the longest drive as well as closest to the pin. There was even a marshmallow driving contest and a beer goggle putting range. Not to mention quite a bit of funds raised with a dunk tank. Several Sheriffs and Deputies got in the tank to help raise funds. We had the privilege of being part of this year’s Golf tournament. Absolute Bail Bonds helped sponsor the tournament; we donated raffle bags and had our public relations employee, Angela, out on the course helping in anyway needed. What a great way to help our communities future by raising money towards education.

People Helping People

October 5th, 2011

Absolute Bail Bonds teams up with the Fraternal Order of Eagles in a charity Golf Tournament to raise money for The Painted Turtle. The Painted Turtle is a camp located in Lake Hughes; this camp is free to children with different illnesses. The money raised will help children to attend the camp as well as assist the camp itself. This is a place where children feel safe to discuss their illness freely; they don’t feel as though they need to hide. They can be themselves without any judgments. Children are given the opportunity to make friends that understand exactly what they are going through. They offer arts and crafts, outdoor activities, as well as educational information pertaining to their illness. The Fraternal Order of Eagles is a local member’s only group; although they are very welcoming to new comers. The Eagles help several charities with different events. This time they worked with different local companies to get donations for raffle prizes; they also attained a brand new Honda Fit to be used as the whole in one prize. Unfortunately no one won the car. All proceeds through raffle ticket purchases, mulligan’s and registration for the teams were donated to The Painted Turtle. Absolute Bail Bonds was able to help out; we sponsored several holes on the course as well as donated several raffle bags. We also helped where ever we were needed. Not only was the tournament fun but it’s always great when you get the chance to help out the community and local charities. We’ve definitely formed a bond with the Eagles and look forward to working with them in the future.

Bass at its Best

September 29th, 2011

You may be asking what does Bail Bonds have to do with a Bass competition; ABSOLUTEly nothing!  We just thought we’d take a break from writing bail bonds to show some support for a co-worker.

I never knew a competition for bass (the music, not the fish) existed, but it does!   And it was a fun experience!

An Absolute Bail Bonds’ employee, Jeff, entered his vehicle into the Bass competition.  He has personally done all the work to improve his audio system to a building shaking level.   You can feel him pull into our parking lot before you can hear him, that’s right I said feel!  The bass in his SUV hits so hard you can feel it run through you.

We’re proud to say that at the recent Meece Car Audio Bass competition in Lancaster, CA, Jeff won first place!

In addition to having fun being rocked by all the competition, they had a “Sound Lab” set up. I went into the Rockford Sound Lab to experience what true bass is all about. There were a few other setups to experience bass at its finest, as well.  Definitely a hair raising experience – and if you’ve ever been to a bass competition you know what I’m talking about!  Check out our Facebook page(http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Absolute-Bail-Bonds/123726301284) to see pictures from the event.

Congrats to Jeff on his first place win. We look forward to next year’s competition.

The Finest Bail Agents in the West

September 20th, 2011

We at Absolute Bail Bonds have the best bail agents a bail company could ask for. Of course we have several agents in all of our California offices, but Diane, in our Victorville office really shines. On more than one occasion we have received calls praising her.

She’s been with the company for over 20 years and has a vast amount of knowledge on the workings of bail. She knows her way around the Victorville Jail as well; as far as who to talk to and how to get things taken care of quickly. She is always professional and takes the time to go out of her way to assist our clients.

An important part of our business is to call the clients after bail is posted to see if they need any further assistance. It was during a recent phone call that Diane received yet another rave review for her professionalism; the client stated that Diane made her feel safe, calm and comfortable during her first bail experience. The client commented that Diane is magnificent and that Absolute Bail Bonds lives up to its name 100%!

Thank you Diane for ensuring our clients that we are here to help and that we understand when bad situations arise.

By the way, in Victorville, Absolute Bail Bonds is also known as Victorville Bail Bonds and we’re conveniently located at 14420 Civic Dr., Suite 2.  This is right across from the Victorville Jail and Courthouse.

Rock the Arts

September 13th, 2011

This time around Absolute Bail bonds is leaning towards it’s artsy side. We have branched out and sponsored Rock the Arts, an annual show for different artists, as well as bands, and this year extreme sports will also be a part of the show. You may be asking yourself; just as I did, what does extreme sports have to do with art. But once you see what those girls and boys can do you will understand. Extreme Sports is definitely an art form in itself. The show will be held on September 17,2011 at PEC (Pioneer Event Center) in Lancaster, California. We, Absolute Bail Bonds, decided to take part in the event by sponsoring and setting up a booth to show our support as well as hand out some promo items. We want the community to know we are here and we support local businesses and events. Come down this Saturday and say hello to our Absolute Angels, spin the wheel for a prize and enjoy the arts and beer gardens.
